Mission Statement
The Search and Rescue
Dog Foundation, a 501 C-3, Non Profit, is an
organization designed to assist qualified dog handlers
in obtaining replacement search and rescue, or recovery
dogs.
We believe a well
trained dog/handler team, is an essential service to the
community.
We believe that
volunteers who make up the majority of the search and
rescue community are the individuals whose dedication,
work ethic, and selfless acts of bravery improve and
provide comfort to the communities they serve.
Given those beliefs,
our mission is essential to assist the vital service of
the search and rescue/recovery community across the
United States in remaining active, strong, and
well-staffed, by providing funds for replacement dogs to
qualified (any handler/K9 team utilized by or listed on
a local state, or federal resource list, confirmed by
letter) volunteer handlers.
"... People helping
dogs to save lives ..."
